My name is Phill, I live in Edinburgh and this is my photoblog. I am completely new to photography and this blog is my attempt to make a terminally lazy person take more photos - at least enough to justify the purchase of the camera. My interest in photography started in 2003 when I bought a basic digital point-and-shoot camera to take on holiday. Shortly after I randomly purchased Digital Photo magazine and realised, probably for the first time in my life, that photography is more than holiday snaps and school portrait photos. I am now a completely hooked 'viewer' of art and photography and discovering the existence of photoblogs at the end of 2005 has only fuelled my addiction. Unfortunately my motivation since purchasing a new camera in early 2006 has been found lacking and early indications suggest that I have little aptitude for my choosen hobby, but by trial and error I hope to make some headway.
